The Spectator Ferry: follow the fleet
Watching the historic 18-footers from the water is the way the club's founders intended: Mark Foy invented the coloured sail insignia and the handicap start precisely so that spectators on a ferry could follow the racing. The spectator ferry departs the club wharf on race-day Saturdays and follows the fleet around the course, with commentary.
This page carries the ferry's current status, kept up to date by the club. When the service is not running, this page says so plainly, and you can ask to be notified when it returns using the form below.
Current status: suspended. The spectator ferry is not currently running. The club will announce its return here first.
Pending confirmation The captured records disagree on the ferry's current position; the club confirms the true status before cutover.
