Race Report 25 October 2025

The Ringtale reporting the Balmain Regatta of Sunday 26 October 2025, a regatta first sailed in 1849, where four SFS skiffs, Yendys, Scot, The Mistake and Tangalooma, took part by invitation of the Balmain Sailing Club. The race, started off Kirribilli by special dispensation, was abandoned when the light breeze failed off Garden Island and the fleet was towed to Balmain for the celebrations. Balmain Commodore Campbell Reid presented the Commonwealth Cup, made by Ian Smith, and SFS plans a reciprocal regatta for early 2026.
