Race 9 of the 2020-21 season, sailed 5 December 2020 as Heat 2 of the Club Championship and Heat 1 of the Summer Point Score. Seven skiffs took a scratch start on the North East course in light air, Yendys (M. Chapman) winning by 59 seconds from The Mistake (J. Winning), with Top Weight taking the handicap result.

HISTORIC 18’s RACE RESULTS
Race 9 of the 2020-21 Season, Heat 2 of the Club Championship and Heat One of the Summer Point Score saw warm and humid conditions with seven skiffs on hand for the day’s racing.
Early predictions in the lead-up were for a moderate to fresh nor easter, but on the day it was anything but, with an overcast sky and not much wind. Rig choices were mostly for full-size no.2 rig while Yendys and The Mistake opted for no.1 rig.
THE 12 FOOT SKIFFS
In addition to the Historic 18s, the 12 foot skiffs were in force at the club to compete in the NSW State Championship hosted by the SFS over the weekend. Sydney Harbour was at its best presenting 2 completely different days for racing.
Race 1 was held in mild conditions on Saturday, with blustery conditions on Sunday for Races 2 and 3.
