Race 8 of the 2020-21 season, sailed 28 November in heat over 40 degrees with a north west wind. Five skiffs took a handicap start in Athol Bay on the number 5 West course. The Mistake (John Winning) won by 40 seconds from Australia IV (Terry Stewart), then Scot and Top Weight, with Aberdare not finishing. Sunday 12 foot skiff racing was cancelled in extreme heat, and Race 9 plus the NSW 12 Foot Skiff State Championships were flagged for 5 December.
