Race report for Race 7 of the 2020-21 season, Heat 7 of the Spring Point Score, sailed by the Historic 18 footers. Eight skiffs raced on a warm day, most carrying full size no.2 intermediate rigs while Yendys opted for a big mainsail.
SEASON 2020-21 RACE 7 RESULTS
HISTORIC 18’s RACE RESULTS
Race 7 of the 2020-21 Season and Heat Seven of the Spring Point Score.
The weather was warm with eight skiffs on-hand for the day’s racing and full size no.2 intermediate the popular rig choice, with Yendys the exception opting to carry a big mainsail.
Yendys crossed the finish line with a very convincing win (must have been due to her “rejuvenation” received at the “resort” over the winter)
The race for the minor places was a very close affair with a number of skiffs in the mix, with Aberdare hanging on to take 2nd place by 1 sec from The Mistake, then Australia IV, Tangalooma and Britannia.
Scot was DNF due to an issue on the final run resulting in a terminal fill-up
