SEASON OPENING - MARK FOY DAY

HISTORIC 18's RACE RESULTS

AUSTRALIA IV on Saturday out on our glorious Sydney Harbour

A perfect day for the start of the Historic 18 ft Skiff season with 3 boats off the line enjoying being back on the best harbour in the world.

A short briefing in line with the pandemic protocols with David Grinston our Club Captain honouring our indigenous ancestors with the Acknowledgement to Country.

With very little tide and a variable 10 knot Easterly the afternoon provided great conditions for our first race.

Australia IV was back in fine form setting the first ringtail of the season, unfortunately no jug of rum was issued as presentation gatherings are not permitted under the current Covid 19 regulations

Scot and Aberdare in action (what's that on Aberdare's bowsprit?)

Couldn't do it without our volunteers! Barley, Michael and Kirsty+1

WHERE ARE YENDYS AND THE MISTAKE?? More to follow on their restoration later ...

THE 12 FOOTERS RACE RESULTS

The 12s rigging in the park on Sunday

The Port Jackson Championship for the 12 ft skiffs was held on Sunday with a fantastic fleet of 10 hitting the line for a 12 knot north/east summer breeze.

Congratulations to the Nick Press/Noddy team for a convincing win. Great to see the 12’s fleet tearing up the harbour again.

Thanks to all participants for complying with the Club’s Covid 19

registration and distancing requirements.

THE ANNUAL BOATSHED CLEANUP Last weekend the skippers and crew completed the annual boatshed cleanout. This was closely overseen by club captain and COVID marshall extraordinaire, David Grinston.
