Notice of the 132nd Annual General Meeting, to be held at 10am on Sunday 5 December 2021 in the clubhouse at 76 McDougall Street Milsons Point, with RSVP requested by Monday 22 November.
NOTICE OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Invitation to Ordinary Financial Members and Life Members
The 132nd Annual General Meeting of the Sydney Flying Squadron Limited will be held at:
10:00am Sunday 5th December 2021 in the Clubhouse, 76 McDougall Street Milsons Point NSW 2061.
Due to social distancing requirements, if you plan to attend the AGM, please RSVP by: Monday 22nd November 2021 to info@sydneyflyingsquadron.com.au.
The meeting will be held virtually if the maximum capacity of the Clubhouse is likely to be exceeded.

To confirm the minutes of the 131st Annual General Meeting;
To receive and consider the reports of the Board
To receive and consider the financial report as required by the Act and the Registered Clubs Act for the year ending 31 May 2021
To elect the Board in accordance with the Constitution
Life Membership Nominations
To deal with any valid business of which due notice has been given
To deal with general business as approved by the chairman of the meeting.
Nomination for Board of Directors and Life Members
In accordance with the Club’s Constitution as amended at the 2019 AGM, nominations for the following two (2) positions are sought:
Commodore & Treasurer
Nominations for the BOARD OF DIRECTORS must be received at the SFS office for collection by the returning officer not less than 14 days prior to the date set for the AGM. Nominations will close at 4:00pm on Friday 19th November.
Nominations for LIFE MEMBERS have been submitted and recommended to the Board. Nominations were lodged with, and received by, the Secretary not less than two (2) months prior to the AGM, being prior to the 12th October 2021 board meeting. LIFE MEMBERS will be announced by the Board at the AGM.

Notification of all nominations received will be posted on the Club notice board by: 4.00pm Sunday 21st November.
Voting Rights for Annual General Meeting
Only ORDINARY MEMBERS* who are financial members and LIFE MEMBERS are eligible to vote. Please refer to the Articles of Association for exact definitions.
*ORDINARY MEMBERS are deemed to be:
Financial SAILING MEMBERS 18 years of age and over, actively involved in sailing at the SFS, who have twelve (12) months continuous financial membership.
Financial SOCIAL MEMBERS, 18 years of age and over who have three (3) years continuous financial membership.
In case of doubt as to the form of validity of any nomination or voting rights, the matter shall be referred to the Returning Officer, whose decision shall be final.

Hard copies are available upon request at the Club during office hours: Tuesday to Friday 9.30am to 1.30pm.
A small number of printed copies will be available at the AGM.
