The Club made available the Killo as the starting boat. SFS volunteers crewed the supporting recovery vessels. Michael van Stom on one RIB on Thursday and Friday, and Wayne “Chuck” Goodfellow laying the marks on the Gemini over all four days with Don Buckley and his son Angus on Saturday and Sunday. The Killo was driven by Bob Tearne over the four days, accompanied by race officers from the 12 foot Skiff Association.
The SFS congratulates the winners of this Championship, as they sailed in very testing southerly breeze and rain conditions on the Thursday and Friday, moderating on the Saturday and Sunday. The SFS hopes all the crews and officials enjoyed the Championship on the water and the SFS hospitality off the water. Our thanks go to the 12 Foot Skiff Association for choosing the Sydney Flying Squadron as the venue for their 2023 Nationals, and we hope they will do likewise again next year at the SFS.
